KARACHI, Nov 1: A PIA spokesman has clarified a report which appeared in Dawn on Nov 1.

The spokesman said during the past two weeks flights PK 390 Karachi-Sukkur and PK 391 Sukkur-Karachi were cancelled on account of low visibility. During the same period, 22 flights to\from Sukkur were operated and only two were delayed, one on account of weather and the other on account of some technical problems.

Besides, Sukkur airport is also not adequately equipped as compared to other major airports of Pakistan to facilitate the landing of flights under poor weather conditions, he concluded.
