Gamblers held

LAHORE, July 22: The Lower Mall police raided on Friday the building, which houses the office of the DCO, and arrested nine government employees for playing gambling.

On a tip-off, the police raided a room at the upper portion of the cafeteria of the DCO’s office and seized Rs90,000 stake money and cards from the suspects.

City Division SP Dr Shahzad Asif said they arrested nine government employees including Muhammad Tariq, Aslam, Amin, Tenvir and Naseer and registered a case against them. — Staff Reporter
