SIALKOT, Nov 1: On the appeal of Sialkot District Bar Association, local lawyers on Friday observed a strike and boycotted the courts as a protest against the arrest of bar member Ch Tahir Mehmood Hudali Advocate and his implication in a ‘false case’ by police.
The lawyers also took out a procession.
Sialkot police had registered a case against Ch Tahir Mehmood Hudali, PPP candidate from PP-125, for firing on a polling station and allegedly injuring seriously Tariq Subhani, the younger brother of PML-Q MPA elect Ch Khush Akhtar Subhani, on Oct 10.
