NAWABSHAH, July 20: Activists of the Sindh Taraqi Passand Party (STP) resorted to aerial firing on Wednesday which forced the shopkeepers to pull down their shutters hence giving a deserted look to all business centres, here.

Shopkeepers at Hospital Road, Sakrand Road, Masjid Road, Chakra Bazaar, Market Road, Liaquat Market and Mohini Bazaar and others took no time in closing their trade in the aftermath of aerial firing.

Sources said that Ghulam Qadir Keerio, uncle of the STP district president Nisar Keerio and a driver of Social Welfare Department were allegedly attacked and admitted to the PMC hospital in injured condition.
