KHAIRPUR, July 20: Two men were killed near Wali Dad Lund in the area of Setharja early on Wednesday.

Latif Dino, 25, and Mohammad Rafique Lund, 32, were standing outside their houses when some unidentified men shot them dead.

Later, members of the Lund community appealed to traders in Setharja to observe a shutter-down strike for some time.

They took the bodies to Pir Budhro Bus stop on the Kumb-Khairpur-Nawabshah main road and held a demonstration against the double-murder. They raised slogans against police.

The three-way road remained blocked for two hours.

The SPO of Thari Mirwah and SHO Setharja reached there and held talks with Raees Fida Hussain Lund and assured them early arrest of the killers. The protesters dispersed and traffic was restored.—Correspondent
