LAHORE, July 19: Factory Area police arrested a former leader of the People's Students Federation and his two accomplices and seized illegal weapons from them early on Tuesday.

A police team raided the LDA quarters stop on Walton Road and captured Tanveer Khakwani of Mozang and accomplices Imran and Arif besides seizing a rifle and five pistols from them.

The police claimed Khakwani was wanted in several cases, including a murder case of five people.

Factory Area SHO Husnain Haider said the arrested persons had been handed over to Ferozwala police.

HUMAN SMUGGLER: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claimed on Tuesday to have arrested the 'most wanted' human smuggler in Nankana Sahib.

According to a spokesman, Muhammad Sarwar's name was also on the Red Book. He said Sarwar was wanted in a number of cases registered against him with the agency's Lahore and other districts offices.
