Monsoon rains have lashed Asia and will continue to do so till September. This month may cause hindrance in everyday life, but it is considered crucial for farmers whose crops breed millions of people. The strength of the annual June - September downpour is vital to the economic growth in Asia's third-largest economy which gets 80 per cent of its annual rainfall during the monsoon season. - Photos by agencies
