HYDERABAD, July 14: Police have picked up 45 people from different areas in the wake of violent protests that erupted across the city on Wednesday night and Thursday.

Police said that 21 people were arrested by Pinyari police, 16 by Hussainabad and B-section police, two by A-section police Latifabad, one each by Sakhi Pir and Market police and two each by Baldia and Hatri police.

FIRs have not been lodged so far.

Police said their political affiliation would also be verified.
