HYDERABAD, Oct 30: Maulana Asadullah Bhutto, MNA-elect of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and its president (Sindh), has said that his party had made it abundantly clear to the People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) that it would not join hands with the PPP if it formed a coalition government with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

He was talking to a group of newsmen in Latifabad the other day.

He claimed that the MMA was striving hard for forming an effective government in the centre as well as in the provinces in order to solve the problems of the masses.

He claimed that apart from Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, president, PPP (Sindh), Syed Qaim Ali Shah had also been contacted.

He said that the MMA had made it absolutely clear to the PPP that it would prefer to sit on opposition benches in the Sindh assembly in case the PPP opted for a coalition government with the MQM.

He said that the PPP could form a coalition government with the support of independent candidates, the PML-F, and the MMA.

He stated that the MMA gave preference to solving people’s problems over power politics.

He said that the religious parties’ alliance would solve the problems of women, youths, and minorities and would make all-out efforts to eliminate joblessness.

He claimed that the law and order situation would also be improved.

Referring to the deteriorating situation at government hospitals and educational institutions, he said that due consideration would be given to these two important sectors to improve their performance.

MNAs-elect Sahibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair (MMA), Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote (PPP), and MPAs-elect Rehman Rajput (MMA), and Zahid Bhurgari (PPP) were also present on the occasion.
