Musharraf returns

ISLAMABAD, Nov 14: President Gen Pervez Musharraf returned home early on Wednesday morning by a commercial flight after a six-day visit to three countries — France, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The president on his way back also made a brief stopover at Istanbul and met Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit to discuss the swiftly unfolding events in Afghanistan over the past 36 hours.

While on his way to Paris, he also made brief stopovers in Tehran and Istanbul.

The president won international community’s praise for his decision to join the world coalition fighting against terrorism. —APP
