KARACHI, July 2: The judicial magistrate (west) on Saturday remanded an alleged militant in judicial custody in an illicit weapon case.

The crime investigation department of police arrested Nazeer Ahmed on June 23 within the remit of the Pirabad police station and claimed to have recovered an unlicensed weapon from his possession.

The magistrate sent the suspect in prison on judicial remand till July 6 and directed the investigation officer to submit a charge-sheet on the next hearing.
