SHAHDADPUR (Sanghar), June 28: Senior eye surgeon Dr Mujahid Ahmed Memon has gone missing along with his chauffer on Tuesday.

His car was later found near Nawabshah, fuelling rumours that the surgeon might have been kidnapped for ransom.

He, along with his chauffer Rajo Bheel, was whisked away on his way to Government Hospital Shahpur Chakar.

Family members apprehended that the surgeon might have been kidnapped. No police official was ready to comment over the incident.—PPI Our Sukkur correspondent adds:

Workers of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) staged a demonstration, burnt tyres and blocked the Indus Highway at Tangwani Laro near Kandhkot on Tuesday in protest against police failure to recover a kidnapped teenager.

They were demanding recovery of Ali Bux Nandwani, 15, who was kidnapped four days back from his farm near Goth Balwali in the Karampur area.
