Illegal arms seized

LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 14: Police, on the instruction of Abdullah Khan,SP, has launched a campaign against criminals and arrested more than 72 of them, who were involved in heinous crime.

Arms and ammunition and drugs were also seized in different raids.

According to a press release, the seized arms included five Kalashnikov rifles, one Kalakov, 16 pistols, 16 guns, three magazines of Kalashnikov rifles, 1,673 cartridges of different bores and eight grenades. The seized drugs included 6,020 grams hashish and 38 grams of heroin.

Tajori police arrested two carjackers, who were going ia stolen pick-up. The accused were identified as Syed Marjan and Murid.Their companion, Shafiullah, however, escaped.

Two unlicensed pistols seized.
