LAHORE, June 27: A man gunned down the widower of his sister, who had recently committed suicide, along with his father at her Qul ceremony in Shadbagh Scheme-II on Monday.

Ayesha had hanged herself after having a series of quarrels with her husband, Imran, three days ago and her brother, Rashid Karamat, of Joray Pull, held Imran and his father Arshad Din responsible for her death.

The police said 60-year-old Din and 30-year-old Imran were present at their house along with other family members and relatives when Karamat, who was also present there, asked Imran and his father to come inside a room as he had to speak to both of them in private and then fled after shooting them.

The injured were taken to Mayo Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
