KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court (SHC) against the postponement of the elections in Karachi for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, DawnNews reported.

The MQM petitioned the court to declare the AJK elections illegal on grounds of alleged government interference in the process and the Election Commission's postponement of the polls in Karachi.

Speaking to media representatives, MQM MNA Haider Abbas Rizvi said the public did not trust the election results and that the postponement of the polls in Karachi made the process "unconstitutional".
