LAHORE, June 22: Family, friends and fans paid a tribute to the late Jamil Fakhri at a reference held at Alhamra Art Centre on Wednesday.

Evacuee Property Trust Board Chairman Asif Hashmi presided over the reference, and announced naming Qila Lakshman Singh Chowk after Jamil Fakhri, the veteran TV and film artiste.

He also announced Rs500,000 for the widow of Fakhri. She donated the sum to a charity for needy artistes.
