Abducted

NOWSHERA, June 21: In-charge of Layton Rahmatullah Benevolent Trust (LRBT), a free eye hospital, was kidnapped by unknown armed persons from his office at Akora Khattak on Tuesday.

The captors, four in number with their faces covered, entered the hospital at 1.25pm and started beating the administrator, Syed Naqi Hussain Shah, 57, before whisking him away in their car, said an official of the LRBT.

Syed Naqi Shah, hailing from Chakwal, Punjab was working at the hospital since 2004 and presently living in Nowshera Cantonment. He was abducted while leaving for home. —Correspondent
