Pylon blown up

NOWSHERA, June 19: Militants blew up a pylon on the high voltage transmission line from Tarbela Dam to Peshawar near Chowki Mamraiz in Pabbi area on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

According to Pesco, the outlaws had planted explosives around the pylon. They said after the explosions the power supply to Peshawar was suspended. A villager, Iqbal, said he heard three big explosions in the small hours of Sunday which created fear in the area. —Correspondent
