LAHORE, June 9: Lytton Road police on Thursday registered a case against cricketer Imran Nazir and two others for their alleged attempt to kidnap a resident of Samanabad on Wednesday night.

Complainant Sohail told the police that Imran Nazir and his two accomplices tried to kidnap him at Qartaba Chowk around 9:30pm.

He said the kidnap bid, however, failed as a crowd gathered on the spot after he (Sohail) raised an alarm. Dawn

Civil Lines Investigation SP Liaqat Ali Malik told any arrest would be made in the light of findings of preliminary inquiry into the incident and after completion of verification process.
