KARACHI, Oct 25: The Sui Southern Gas Company has stated that it has taken immediate action on the complaint of low-pressure gas supply to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board filter plant at Dhabeji, says a press release.

It adds that repair and maintenance teams were sent out in the early morning and necessary field maintenance was carried out at site.

“Full gas pressure was restored at 1300 hours and it was confirmed by Mushtaq Memon, executive at the KWSB, filtration plant at Dhabeji. He confirmed that all the three pumping units were in operation and there was no shortage of water supply on account of low gas pressure,” the press release says.

KWSB on Thursday closed its Dhabeji pumping plant and suspended water supply to parts of city saying that it was done because of low gas pressure.
