RAWALPINDI, June 7: A young boy was shot dead by his three relatives over a petty dispute in Dhoke Hassu on Tuesday, police said.

Babar Shahzad, 15, had a dispute with his two cousins, Abdul Nasir and Mohammad Faisal, over a petty issue and they had a quarrel over it on Monday. However, the issue was settled for the time being by the elders of the family.

Police said Babar Shahzad was at home on Tuesday evening when his uncle Abdul Rashid along with his two sons Abdul Nasir and Mohammad Faisal came to his house and challenged him. After a brief exchange of hot words, his cousins pulled out their pistols and opened fire at Babar Shahzad killing him on the spot. Later, the killers escaped from the scene.

Police said the victim's body was removed to the DHQ hospital for postmortem.

Meanwhile, a nurse at a private hospital of Morgah committed suicide by injecting herself a poisonous injection on Tuesday, police said.

It has been learnt that Zil-e-Humma killed herself due to domestic problems. The victim's body was handed over to her family after the postmortem carried out at the DHQ hospital.— Staff Reporter
