Tense calm prevails in Panjgur

QUETTA, Oct 24: Normal life remained suspended in Panjgur on Thursday as strike was observed in the township as protest against the killing of two people by FC on Wednesday. In the rest of the province, black day was observed on the appeal of the BNM and BNP.

All bazaars, shops, shopping centres and business establishments remained closed in Panjgur while in Turbat, Gwadar and other townships of the Makran division business remained suspended partially. Despite heavy deployment of the forces protest processions were taken out in Panjgur.

No untoward incident was reported from any part of Panjgur and other areas of Makran division.

The police have arrested around a dozen people in Panjgur in connection with torching of offices of District Coordination Officer and Nazim and attacking other government buildings.
