KARACHI: Scrabble Master Dr Rashid Khan was on top of the points table at the conclusion of the first day’s competition in the 23rd Pakistan Scrabble Championship at the Beach Luxury Hotel here on Saturday.

A total of nine games were played by each Master on the inaugural day of the championship and Dr Rashid won eight out of the nine he played to take the top position.

Meanwhile, winning seven out of their nine games, Yasir Jamshed and Fahim Naqvi stood second and third, respectively.

Yasir’s points in his games were higher than Fahim’s to get him the second slot. The final positions and winner in the Masters category will be announced after the second round on Sunday.
