CHITRAL, Oct 23: One of the suspects in the murder case of driver and conductor of a taxi-van at Shandur last week confessed before the police that he and his four other accomplices stabbed to death two persons and hijacked the vehicle.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, the district police officer told that the accused Jehanzeb was arrested from his village Sakwar, Gilgit, who was traced from the national identity card number of his elder brother, Shahzeb, recorded at a local hotel of Chitral where they stayed before hiring the vehicle for Gilgit.

The snatched vehicle was found parked at roadside in Sargodha (Punjab) from where it was taken into police custody.

According to police, the four suspects dropped Jehanzeb at Gahkooch and left for Punjab to sell the vehicle.

The other suspects are Muneer Akhtar, Farhad and Aleemullah, all being the residents of Sakwar and close relatives of Jehanzeb and Shahzeb. All are said to be wanted by the local police in robbery cases.
