KARACHI, May 22: A young man was shot dead within the limits of the Sohrab Goth police station on Sunday night, police said.

They added that Akbar Hameed, 26, was targeted by two persons riding a motorcycle near Bismillah Masjid in Aman Jamal Para Lasi Goth.

The police said that Hameed suffered two gunshot wounds in the head and chest and died on the spot. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Family sources were quoted as saying that the victim had a feud in their hometown in Larkana.

Teenager dies in accident

A teenager died in a hit-and-run accident in Malir on Sunday.

According to a rescue service, 18-year-old Naseeb, son of Abbas Iqbal, was on a bike when he was knocked down at Kala Board.

The teenager suffered severe injuries and died on the spot, said the volunteers who shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities.
