KARACHI, May 3: Karachi Zebras and Karachi Dolphins, as expected, easily earned semi-final berths in the All Sindh Inter-district Twenty20 cricket tournament by defeating their respective opponents on Monday.

Akbar-ur-Rehman captured four wickets for 25 runs and Fahim Ahmed claimed three for 25 as Karachi Zebras beat hosts Dadu by six wickets at the PCB Ground in Dadu.

Dadu were bowled out for 137 on the last ball of their innings with Noor Mohammad making 44 with six boundaries. Karachi Zebras, in reply, romped home for the loss of four wickets with five balls to spare. Ramiz Aziz hit five fours in his 39 and Akbar followed his fine bowling with 33.

Karachi Dolphins defeated Mirpurkhas by five wickets at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad.

Mirpurkhas, batting first, mustered only 104-9. Off-spinner Junaid Ilyas caused the main damage by grabbing three wickets for 15.Karachi Dolphins reached the target for the loss of five wickets with more then four overs remaining. Opener Fakhar Zaman made 44 with five fours while Fazal Subhan hit 34 with the aid of four hits to the ropes.
