Kinnaird lifts trophy

LAHORE, Nov 13: Kinnaird  College  (KC)  won  the   Punjab University   Women’s  table  tennis  Lahore  Zone   championship, defeating PU Law College 3-1 in final Monday.

For Kinnaird College (KC), Sidra Javed defeated Maffaz  Sarmad 21-2,  21-8 in the first singles. Amina  Basit of  KC  was beaten by Rushna Zahid of Law College in  the  second singles 22-20, 11-21 and 19-21. Sidra and Amina of  KC  beat Maffaz  and Rushna in the doubles match at 21-11, 21-6. Sidra  of KC  defeated  Rushna in third singles 21-12, 21-11.

Semifinal results:

PU Law College beat College of Home Economics 3-0.

Rushna beat Zainab Tahir 21-6, 21-11. Maffaz beat Atiya 21-18, 21-12. Maffaz and Rushna beat Atiya and Lubna 21-11, 21-11.

Kinnaird College beat Ayesha Degree College, Ravi Road 3-0.

Sidra  beat Sakina Barkat 21-10, 21-7. Amina beat  Sana  Anwar 21-14, 21-14. Sidra and Amina beat Sana and Sakina 21-7, 21-12.
