Political parties, workers, laborers, peasants and other segments of the working class will actively observe International Labour Day on Sunday, May 1, 2011 by holding rallies, special meetings and processions across the country. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has stated that the government will do everything possible for the emancipation of the working classes and to ensure dignity, honour and decent living to them, in his message on the occasion of Labour Day.
