Dae Nam snatches title

KARACHI, Nov 13: Kim Dae Nam with a net score of 65, bagged the Engro Golf Tournament which concluded on Sunday at the Karachi Golf Club.

Lt. Cdr.. Tariq Raja was runner-up one stroke behind. Sohail K. Rana picked up the gross category with a score 0f 74 followed by Tariq Alam.

Around 300 amateur golfers contested in this two day tournament.

Abdus Samed won the Veterans event with a net score of 31, with Shafi uz Zaman runner-up four strokes behind.

The ladies event was pocketed by Miss Rukayia Bashir, netting a score of 71, while Mrs. Kim Dae Nam had to be content with the runners-up spot stroking a net score of 75.

The Seniors event was picked up by Wing Cdr. S. Feiz Mehdi, with a net score of 62. Two strokes behind was Syed Kauser Amjad. Cdr. Munawar Raza and Murtaz Qasim was the winner and runner-up respectively in the gross event for the Seniors.

Inamullah Abdul netting 64 was the winner in the Juniors section, while Ahmed Ismail a stroke behind, had to be content with the runners-up trophy.
