KARACHI, Oct 17: The city government is making all efforts to promote IT activities in Karachi, City Nazim Naimatullah Khan said while inaugurating an exhibition/seminar on industrial automation, organized by the technology resource mobilization unit, ministry of science and technology, on Thursday.

He described the seminar an event of great significance in the history of industrial automation culture.

“If we want to succeed in catching up with the pace of technological advancement, we will have to take immediate measures to strengthen our industry in general and the manufacturing industry in particular,” he added.

Naimatullah Khan said the government had revived plans for industrialization in the country and now it was up to the industrialists and manufacturers to benefit from those plans.

The seminar was attended by a large number of leading industrialists.—APP
