PPP bodies dissolved

LARKANA, Oct 16: The organizing body of the PPP Larkana, headed by Nawab Shabir Ahmed Chandio, district president, met in Kambar on Wednesday.

After holding discussions, the city and the Taluka bodies of the PPP, Kambar, were dissolved, with the announcement of holding fresh elections for both bodies, the sources said.

The sister organizations of the PPP, Kambar Taluka, were also dissolved.

The candidates for the party offices were asked to submit their applications with the main office of the PPP Larkana district till Oct 31.

LDA: Mumtaz Ali Bhutto on Wednesday resigned from the chairmanship of the Larkana District Alliance (LDA), said a press release.

He said that all efforts to keep the alliance intact against the PPP in the general elections had failed, and its components failed to evolve an effective strategy in the election.

So under the circumstances, Mumtaz Bhutto resigned from the chairmanship of the LDA.

RELEASED: A presiding officer, Khan Mohammed Wahucho, of the Khairo Jhatyal polling station in Dokri taluka was released the other day.
