QUETTA, Oct 16: The Pakistan Muslim League (Q) candidate from NA-260 Quetta-Chagai, Haji Mir Baloch Khan Mengal, has demanded of the Election Commission to hold re-election in 30 polling stations of the constituency.

Speaking at a news conference here on Wednesday, he alleged massive rigging in his constituency and said that his clear lead was converted into defeat by the polling staff.

He said that the results of 30 polling stations were given to his election agents on plain papers, and when they protested they were sent out of the stations. He further complained that at many stations his agents were not allowed in during counting.

Khan claimed that he was leading in the constituency, but late in the night the result was changed in favour of an MMA candidate Hafiz Hussain Ahmed with a lead of 40,000 votes.

He said that the MMA’s four other candidates were in the run on the provincial assembly seats who bagged around 19,000 votes.

Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar: In the meanwhile Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for NA-263 Loralai has demanded that the Election Commission should announce his result as he was leading in the constituency.

Speaking at a news conference here on Wednesday he said that he had won by a margin of 2222 votes, but the EC has ordered re- election in his constituency.

Replying to a question he said that the PML (Q) candidates won in their personal capacity, as in the tribal society elders have their own vote bank.

He told a news conference here on Wednesday that the PML (Q) candidate Ehsanullah Raki was leading in 49 out of the 50 poling stations, but in one polling station bogus votes were polled.
