ISLAMABAD: The director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence, Lt-General Ahmed Shuja Pasha met with Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani at the GHQ on Friday, after his recent trips abroad.

Defence sources said that Gen Shuja Pasha took the army chief into confidence over his meetings, DawnNews reported.

Gen Shuja Pasha provided details of his meetings with CIA director Leon Panetta and US chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen to the army chief, in which measures were suggested to restore trust between the two agencies.

The ISI cheif will also be leaving for Afghanistan tomorrow (Saturday) along with the army chief, where he will meet his Afghan counterpart and discuss methods to improve information exchange system that will help deal with terrorism more effectively.
