Jansher faces Jenson in CAS opener

PESHAWAR, Oct 15: Former world champion Jansher Khan will face Dan Jenson of Australia in the opening match of the CAS International Open Squash Championship which starts from Oct 19 at PAF Squash Complex.

It will be participated by top ranking players from seven countries. Pakistan Shahid Zaman meets Davide Bianchetti of Italy.

Eight players moved to next round after securing victories over their respective rivals in the second round of qualifiers.

Wakeel Khan handed a shock defeat 9-15, 4-15, 15-6, 15-11 5-3 to junior British Open champion Safeer Khan in a thrilling 74-minute match.

Meanwhile, commenting on his performance at just concluded Asian Games Mansoor Zaman said “it was not my day. I tried hard to come back in the game but I failed to do so. I do not know what happened to me in the Games.”
