Rivalry claims patwari’s life

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 15: A Revenue Department patwari was killed while his brother was injured allegedly by their rivals on the Toba-Gojra Road on Tuesday.

Afzal and his brother, Akram, were going by a motorcycle when Farooq and accomplices opened fire on them near Chak 323-JB, Kiampur. Afzal died on the spot, while Akram sustained serious injuries. He was taken to the DHQ Hospital.

City police have registered a case and are conducting raids for the arrest of the accused.

Javed was going to purchase phutti when he was intercepted by some dacoits riding a car. They looted Rs82,000 in cash from him and escaped.
