KHAR, April 10: Behram Khan, the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attacks on Sakhi Sarwar shrine near Dera Ghazi Khan last week, was arrested after a shootout in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Sunday. According to sources, one of his associates was killed during the clash.

The sources said that security personnel were combing the area on the information that Behram Khan and his men were holed up there.

During the search security personnel came under fire. They returned the fire and one of the suspected attackers, identified as Rahim Khan, was killed.

Behram Khan, said to be the mastermind of the April 3 suicide strikes that claimed over 40 lives, was captured.

The blasts took place when hundreds of devotees from various parts of the country had thronged the shrine to attend the weeks-long Urs-cum-spring festivities in the town of Sakhi Sarwar, 35km from Dera Ghazi Khan.
