MIRPURKHAS, Oct 12: The People’s Party Parliamentarians won majority of the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats in the district.

According to unofficial results, PPP candidate Pir Aftab Hussain Shah Jilani won the NA-226, Mirpurkhas-I, seat by getting 63,331 votes. MQM candidate Rais Ahmad Khan stood second with 34,946 votes.

PPP candidate Syed Qurban Ali Shah was elected on NA-227, Mirpurkhas-II, by getting 56535 votes. MQM candidate Shabbir Ahmad Qaimi secured 21,083 and PML-N candidate Makhdoom Shahnawaz got 10,849 votes.

MQM candidate Shabbir Ahmad Qaimi won the PS-64, Mirpurkhas-I, seat by getting 19831 votes. PPP candidate Siddique Memon was the runner up.

Syed Irfan Ali Shah, the PPP candidate, won the PS-65, Mirpurkhas-II, seat by getting 29,439 votes and PML-F candidate Sarfaraz Ahmad Junejo stood second by getting 16,179 votes.

PPP candidate Mir Zulfiqar Talpur won the PS-66, Mirpurkhas-III, seat by getting 25,000. Independent candidate Mohammad Hassan Leghari was the runner up.

PPP candidate Mir Mehboob Talpur won the PS-67, Mirpurkhas-IV, seat and Jameel Bhurgari of the PML (Q) secured second position.

Independent candidate Dost Mohammad Memon won the PS-68, Mirpurkhas-V, seat by acquiring 15,500 votes. Dr Aman Talpur of the SDA got 12,584 votes and PPP candidate Mir Anwar Ali Khan Talpur got 14,021 votes.

PML-F candidate Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah won the PS-69, Mirpurkhas-VI, seat.

PPP candidate Syed Ali Mardan Shah got 26,080 votes and was declared elected on PS-70, Mirpurkhas-VII. Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah remained second with 20,354 votes.
