KARACHI, March 17: National Bank President Qamar Hussain has said that the main cause of concern should be to reduce NPLs, increase low cost deposits, inculcate strong compliance culture and enhance fee based income to take the bank to new heights in next four to five years.

Addressing the annual NBP Business and Strategy Conference held at a local hotel here on Thursday, the NBP chief said the key objective was to put the bank vision into action to take the country's largest bank further forward.

The three-day conference would highlight major areas of concern of the bank and the regions to formulate action plan through working together on exercises, activities, focusing, brainstorming and deliberating while keeping in mind the bank vision.

“We need to reach out to people and let our presence be felt wherever we are operating by getting more business,” the NBP president said.
