KARACHI: Poetry, essay contest

KARACHI, Oct 11:- Department of Social Welfare, Karachi University, has arranged the fifth extension lecture on “Problems Facing Human Health in Pakistan”, on Saturday at 12:30 pm at faculty of arts auditorium. Programme coordinator Dr Tanveer Ahmed will be the key speaker and Dr Fateh Muhammad Barfat will present his paper.

A poetry and essay contest is also being held to pay homage to late Dr Ishtiaq Hussain Qureshi. Prizes of Rs15,000, Rs10,000 and Rs7,000 will be given to the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

The last date for the receipt of poetry and essays is Oct 15.—PPI
