KARACHI: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday issued new security guidelines for all federal and state ministers.

According to the prime minister’s secretariat, in the new guidelines, the federal cabinet ministers had been advised to strictly follow the security rules.

“They should not leave their house or work without security clearances nor should ministers make changes, withdraw or draw down the security provided to them by state. They should instead leave this to the institutions providing them security.”

It was also made clear in the guideline that if ministers do not follow the security rules then 'they' alone would be responsible for the consequences.
