PML(Q) candidate taken into custody

SARGODHA, Oct 10: PML-QA candidate Abid Husain Chattha was taken into custody on charges of kidnapping and snatching ballot boxes from presiding officer Muhammad Yousaf.

Police were also conducting raids to arrest his absconding companions.

Meanwhile, 17 people were injured in 13 incidents of firing at different polling stations. Those injured include Jan Muhammad, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Ali and Khalid.

In PP-166, the PML-N supporters beat up and injured PPP candidate Mumtaz Mahmood Noon at a polling station in Jandiala Sher Khan. — Correspondent
