SIALKOT, Oct 9: Sensitive agencies and the Sialkot police have arrested six terrorists from the border villages of Narowal and Badomalhi.
This was disclosed by SP (Headquarters) Tariq Abbas while talking to newsmen here on Wednesday.
He said the arrested terrorists had made a clean breast that the RAW had assigned them the task to sabotage the elections in Pakistan through a series of bomb blasts.
The arrested Raw agents were identified as Waqar Ahmad, Muhammad Iqbal (Sheikhupura), Muhammad Akhtar (Gujranwala), Saeed Anwar, Ahmad Ali and Muhammad Younas (Narowal).
The SP said that terrorist Saeed had confessed that they had been imparted a two-month training at RAW Headquarters in Amritsar (India). He said Saeed also confessed that a few days ago Maj Sharma and another officer gave us two bombs for conducting explosions in public meetings during the election meetings.
SP Tariq said these terrorists were also involved in two bomb blasts at Lorry Adda and Landa Bazaar in Lahore in 2001. They had also provided photos of 32 sensitive defensive places from Kasur to Sialkot to RAW in 2001, he said.
During investigation the terrorists revealed they had entered Pakistan from Fateh Pur Indian post near Narowal to complete their mission.
Sensitive agencies have recovered several explosive devices from the arrested Raw agents. They have been shifted to some unknown places for further interrogation.
