PESHAWAR, Oct 9: The City District Nazim, Azam Khan Afridi, has urged the election staff to exercise impartiality during the polling and let the people cast their votes according to their own sweet will.

This he said while talking to the election staff during his visit to various polling stations of Peshawar city, cantonment, Hayatabad and rural areas on the eve of the election day. He reviewed the arrangements made at those polling stations to facilitate the voters.

He directed the authorities to ensure the provision of drinking water and fans at the stations for voters so that they could exercise their right of vote in a pleasant environment.

The district government and the capital city police have made arrangements for the security of people and the polling staff, he said, adding that the law-breakers would be dealt with an iron hand.

The Nazim further said that the candidates, their supporters and people in general should avoid the exhibition arms, otherwise strict legal action would be taken against them.
