LAHORE, Feb 28: All office-bearers of the Punjab chapter of the District Management Group Officers Association have been elected unopposed, said Chief Election Commissioner Saeed Mehdi here on Monday.

“DMG Association (Punjab chapter) president Dr Jahanzaib Khan belongs to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, senior vice-president Waqas Ali Mehmood to AJK, vice-president Ikramullah Khan to KPK, secretary-general Muhammad Zaman Narijo to Sindh while Treasurer Kiran Khurshid to Punjab.

Similarly, the executive council comprises Daud Bariach (Balochistan), Mariam Kiyani (KPK), Irfan Memon and Abdul Sattar Eisani (Sindh) while Razzaque Mirza, Ahad Khan Cheema, Nabeel Awan, Ali Sarfraz and Musarat Jabeen (Punjab).

“Most of the new office-bearers are domicile holders of other provinces rather than Punjab which is a good omen,” said Mehdi.

Dr Jahanzeb Khan expressed determination on behalf of all newly-elected office-bearers that they would perform their duties with commitment. It was also announced on the occasion that a website for Civil Service Officers had been launched where all necessary information would be available.

Any member of the DMG Association will be able to upload his or her data on the website at www.civilservice.org.pk or get the updates. Meanwhile, public relations professionals of government departments and private organisations have also formed the Public Relations Association and the following were elected unopposed.

Hamdard Foundation chairperson Sadia Rashid would be the pattern in chief, Dr Nadeemul Hassan president, Malik Kamran senior vice-president, Syed Ali Bukhari vice-president, Syed Arif secretary-general, Fatima Manzer additional secretary-general, Ehsan Ghani information secretary and Maher Abdul Rauf joint secretary.

The executive committee would comprise Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Farah Shah, Nasir Rizvi, Quratulain Shahid, Haseeb Pasha, Haroon Akram, Ahmad Ali, Shoaib Hashmi, Abid Noor Bhatti, Fahim Jahanzaib, Farrukh Mushtaq, Raja Mansoor Ali, Azmat Ali Butt, Gohar Aziz, Asif Mahmood, Ather Ali Awan, Mustafa Kamal, Aslam Lodhi and Hayat Saif. — Staff Reporter
