KARACHI, Oct 8: A mentally disturbed man committed suicide by stabbing himself on M. A. Jinnah Road on Tuesday.

Police said the unknown man in his mid-30s was hooked to heroin and lived like a vagabond, especially at Aram Bagh.

A duty officer of the Aram Bagh police station said on Tuesday that he got hold of a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed himself in the stomach.

He was shifted to the Civil Hospital where he died during treatment owing to excessive bleeding.

Later, his body was sent to the Edhi’s morgue for identification, police added.
