ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton telephoned Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and discussed the issue of American national Raymond Davis, DawnNews reported.

During the conversation, Prime Minister Gilani told Hillary Clinton that the government of Pakistan respected its judiciary and the issue of Raymond Davis would be resolved keeping the law in mind.

Hillary said that the US valued its ties with Pakistan and wanted to have a long-term strategic relationship with the country.

On the other hand, British newspaper The Guardian reported that Raymond Davis was a CIA agent who was involved in intelligence operations in Pakistan.
