Blast in Quetta; two wounded

QUETTA: At least two people were wounded in a remote controlled bomb blast near a police vehicle on Quetta's Mastung road on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

The bomb was planted on the roadside and struck near the vehicle of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) New Sariab Sikandar Tareen.

The target of the attack was Tareen who was aboard the police vehicle damaged in the blast.

Tareen remained safe, however, two of his guards were reportedly wounded.

The police cordoned off the area and a probe into the incident was started.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital.
