ISLAMABAD: A list of 15 officers reappointed on the contract basis after their retirement includes senior officials from the police department, Federal Investigation Agency, Federal Board of Revenue, Pakistan Railways, Port Qasim Authority and ministries of ports and shipping and information technology.

Establishment Division Secretary Chaudhry Abdul Rauf had submitted on Thursday the list to the Supreme Court hearing the alleged mismanagement in last year's Haj affairs.

He said a two-member committee comprising secretaries of the establishment and cabinet divisions had recommended the prime minister to terminate the services of these officers.

Two officers from Gilgit-Baltistan and Lahore are: Gilgit-Baltistan DIG (Headquarters) Lt-Col (retd) Farman Ali (grade-19) and Additional Inspector General of Railways Police in Lahore Mian Akhtar Hayat.
