Three killed

RAWALPINDI, Feb 9: Two persons were shot dead while another was tortured to death on Wednesday. Shaukat Mehmood told police that he and Abid went to an estate agent's office where Shakeel, who had a dispute with Abid, was also present.

He said in the meantime one Mazhar Shah arrived there and all of them sat in a car and tried to resolve their dispute.

He said while they were talking, Akhtar, the brother of Mazhar, came and opened fire, killing Shakeel.

In Islamabad, a man was killed over a petty issue, police said.

Four persons came to Zahid Shaheen's shop at Paracha Chowk in Koral police area, and started beating him with sticks.

He was shifted to the hospital where he died.

The episode started when a motorcyclist hit the victim's uncle, and during the quarrel Zahid slapped the motorcyclist. — Dawn Report

Annoyed by the treatment the motorcyclist called his friends and relatives who beat up Zahid.
