LARKANA, Feb 7: A mess was created in the department of casualty of Chandka Medical College Hospital on Monday when relatives of patient and paramedics thrashed each other using punches and fists.

Muzaffar Mangi, president of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) Government Degree College Larkana unit, was admitted with asthmatic problem in the casualty ward. He was kept on oxygen and his relatives exchanged hot words with the paramedics when the oxygen tube was accidentally removed.

They thrashed dispensers Fazuldin Jatoi, Mussawar Memon and Aiwaz Ali Memon who, in turn, beat patient's attendants Sikandar Ali Mangi and Gul Hasan Janveri. The paramedics called in police to contain the disturbance but the patient's relatives' attacked the police also.

Police later arrested Sikandar Ali Mangi, Gul Hasssan Janveri, Ihsan Mangi and Atta Hussain Mangi.

Sikandar Ali Mangi, Gul Hasan Janveri, Ihsan Mangi and Atta Hussain Mangi and Bakhshal alias Aamir Janveri have been booked on two different charges of attacking police and an attempt to murder in two separate cases on complaint of dispenser Fazuldin Jatoi and SHO Hussain Ali Kharal.
